WOW Druid Leveling Guide

Thinking about playing a Druid in world of warcraft?
If you have never played a Druid in world of warcraft before you will want to check out this information. We'll be talking about the world of warcraft Druid and some proven strategies of play that will get you off on the right foot.

There were only two choices of race to choose from in the first version of world of warcraft. For the Alliance Druid, the night elf is the race you will have to be. The Horde only enables the Druid to be of the tauren race. With the Cataclysm expansion pack your choices for Alliance will be night elf or worgen and for the Horde you can play a tauren or troll. Consider the different traits of each race to help you decide to go with the Alliance faction or the Horde faction.

Lets look at some traits of the available Druid races:

The night elf is a race of stealth and getting out of overwhelming fighting situations is made easier with their increased dodge ability. The night elves' Prowl spell gives them heightened scouting and hiding abilities. The tauren is quite the opposite of the night elf, with its' 5% increased overall health it makes for a very nice tanking Druid.
The taurens' War Stomp ability is awesome for stunning a Druids enemies allowing you to get some extra hits in.

At the very start, no matter what character class or race you are playing I recommend keeping it simple. Get used to your characters traits, spells and fighting techniques. Do your best to only stay in combat for short periods of time.

Stay clear of hand to hand combat when just starting out, try to fight from afar. This doesn't mean you should just stay clear and waste time. Focus your efforts on questing and be sure not to miss any quests. Double check each zone you are in to be sure that you have completed all the quests available.

Practice,practice,practice.
Be sure to learn as much as possible from your available trainer before moving on to another area of world of warcraft. Start looking into your professions and get an idea of which ones you might want to specialize in. Take some time out to learn about the different world of warcraft professions
available. Different character class and race combinations will need different professions and secondary skills, so check into which will help you the most. It might be a little early to mention this but try to save a little gold so at level 20 you will be able to purchase a mount making it much quicker to travel in world of warcraft.

Thanks and Happy Gaming.
