| | | | | New Animation Contest Created - Animation Dance Association by Alexander Vasilkin | | | The creators of the Animation Dance Association (ADA) are launching a new and exciting animation contest for animators worldwide. Animation as a genre spans the whole range of media creation, from the US-based studio conglomerates led by the Walt Disney Company, to studios in Asia and individual artists around the world equipped with little more than a laptop and some software.
The concept of the ADA is to pit 5 professional animation teams against one another. Each day two of the animation teams will produce clips (online and on mobile), and viewers worldwide will have a 24-hour window to vote for their favorite. The results of the daily poll will be announced live on the ADA Sport website (www.ADASPORT.com) at 7:00 pm PST. The ADA looks to launch this new campaign by year's end and expects to have a substantial viewer population by the start of 2010.
The goals of this creative project are to create the next mainstream sports league where instead of athletes the stars will be the talented and creative animators of the world. This animation contest is open to anyone who has a creative mind and the ability to connect to the ADA fans and sponsors.
Alexander Vasilkin, CEO of the Animation Dance Association states, "The creation of the ADA sport establishes a league where the fans are in control of deciding a champion. There are no steroid scandals, or corrupt league officials that decide the champions without the fans input. This new competition aims to provide entertainment to those who love animation and bring attention to the talent of animators around the globe."
