Pack them in one baggage or can it, name it, and take it with you. 6. Carefully read and complete the Bill of Lading -- The Bill of Lading is the leagal contract between you and the moving service company. Make sure you have copies of the Bill of Lading and Inventories before departure
7. Final Check -- Do a final walk around your house and check all rooms, including closets and storage areas.
8. Provide the driver with contact information -- In case the movers need to reach you during the course of the move, they know where to contact you.
9. Acquire the driver’s truck number, agency and contact information. This will make it easier to reach the driver if you have questions or if your plans change.
10. Make sure the driver has the correct address of your new home or storage facility.
