• Eating a bit of food before you workout in the morning will not harm your weight loss plan. In fact, it will give you the energy you need to complete your workout routine. Just make sure however that you eat only a bit to ensure that it will be digested by your body quickly.
• Just like women, men have their favourite food but just couldn’t have it because of the weight loss plan. You can have a cheat meal if you like but make sure you eat this cheat meal after a workout. This way, the food will be absorbed by the muscles and not by the fat tissues. And don’t make everyday a cheat meal day. Just choose a day per week perhaps.
• Food cravings get intensified when you are actually trying to lose weight. Because you are cutting down on food intake, the more your mouth craves for food. The best way to deal with food cravings is to wait it out. You can also opt to chew on something like a gum perhaps to reduce the food cravings. Food cravings are psychological. Even if you don’t feel hungry at all, you can feel the cravings because your body is in the state of deprivation.
• Eat small meals several times a day. This will increase your metabolism rate and reduce food cravings. If you skip a meal, you are only prone to overeating the next time you eat a meal.
• Eat slowly. Men are used to wolfing down on foods especially when they like it. Eating too fast will make you eat a lot and there is not enough time for the body and appetite to catch up. Even before the brain can send signal that you are already full, you have already eaten more than you should.
• Make it a point to look at nutrition facts at the back of the food containers. This will help you sort out the healthy foods from the junks.
• Eat fresh as much as possible. Canned foods and frozen meals mostly have preservatives that may not be good for weight loss.
